A deliciously soothing herbal tea with deep cinnamon flavours and a subtle hint of strawberry.
Quantity
Use 0.1 oz of leaf per 5.5 fl oz of water (1g per 150ml).
Temperature
For the optimum infusion use 212°F (100°C) water.
Time
Infuse for 30 seconds to 2 minutes, tasting regularly
Infusions
You can infuse this tea at least three times. With each careful infusion, different subtleties of flavour are revealed.

PORTUGAL
Beira Baixa Province
Grown on a small, family run, organic farm in the Beira Baixa Province of Portugal; between the The Tejo Nature Park and the Naturtejo Geopark - a UNESCO world heritage site.
The air is rich with the scent of pine, rosemary and wild lavender and the area is abundantly biodiverse.
The farmers Henrique and Rosário tell us that it can be used to relieve nervousness, headaches, coughs and a sore throat.
When we first tasted this infusion we were overcome with happiness. It is not well known and rarely cultivated for tea. We were very lucky to find it. The farm is wholly organic and has been since Henrique and Rosário began growing herbs in 2007. They left professional lives in the city with their young family
"with the wish and necessity to lead a life connected to nature and an activity which would truly be ours. We left a 30 year city life with a mission to contribute to the revival of the Portuguese ‘Beira Interior’ and rural world."
The local team who work with them also receive a share in annual profits.
Cinnamon Basil was taken into space by the Endeavour Space Shuttle in 2007 and grown in an experiment in low earth orbit on the International Space Station.
It actually is, out of this world.
